I am thoroughly disgusted that the Congress may yet again give more money to Bush to fund his misadventure in the Middle East. The Democrats in Congress will once again check their spines at the door and give Bush more money while loudly proclaiming their opposition to the Iraq occupation. This just reeks of hypocrisy.
Iraq, habeas corpus destruction, warrant less wiretapping, all enabled by this Congress under Democratic control. Matt Stoller has been doing great work with identifying "Bush Dog Democrats" who are the biggest enablers of this craziness. Unless Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid can get their caucuses under control, maybe it is time for progressives establish their own party. It may give the Republicans control, but the despotism will be pure, unalloyed by hypocrisy.
